About Paris College of Art
Paris College of Art is a small private, U.S. degree-granting, NASAD accredited college with three divisions:
Atelier of Art offers a preparatory program for students wishing to enter college level art programs;
Ecole Parsons à Paris prepares students for 4-year degrees (BFA and BBA) in art & design disciplines, and currently enrolls ~250 students representing 50 nationalities;
Center for University Programs Abroad focuses on direct matriculation and optimal academic and personal support, providing a high quality study-abroad immersion experience in Paris to linguistically advanced, highly motivated students from US colleges.
Our degree programs are all taught in English. We currently prepare students for BFAs in Communication Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Illustration, and Photography, and for BBAs in Design Management. Starting in the fall of 2013 we will also be offering a BFA in Art History, Theory, and Criticism. All students (BFA and BBA) are required to take classes in the critical studies department in order to fulfill their credit distribution requirements.

The Chair of the Fashion Design department is responsible for managing the academic and administrative functions of the department, providing leadership for the Fashion faculty and developing the curriculum to ensure a relevant, challenging design education of the highest standard. The Chair reports to the Dean, and coordinates with the other Department Chairs to achieve a cohesive pedagogical vision that supports the school's mission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Teaching
- Recruitment and Management of the Fashion faculty and staff, including departmental coordinators
- Department budget
- Student academic advising
- Curriculum development
- Developing/maintaining contacts in the field and inviting top-rated guest artists and critics to speak/collaborate with the school
Criteria for Selection
Candidates should possess:
- A Master's degree, or a foreign degree of an equivalent level, in Fashion or a related field of study
- A good knowledge of the American educational system
- Valid French working papers
- Fluency in spoken English and French
- Strong communication skills, especially in written English
- A record of excellence in leadership and art education
- Significant practice or research in their field
- Effective administrative skills, including management of human resources, budget planning, etc.
- An innovative approach to curriculum development
- A strong vision for the Fashion Department that contributes to and coordinates with the Ecole Parsons à Paris mission
- An interest in developing inter-disciplinary dialogue that relates Fashion practice not only to the school's other fields of study, but also to the world at large.

Part-time Adjunct Instructors
Ecole Parsons à Paris, located in Paris, France, is currently accepting applications for part-time adjunct instructors for the Critical Studies department in the History of Art, the Humanities and Social Sciences, and Cultural Studies.

Ecole Parsons à Paris seeks a Communications Intern to provide support for the communications mission of Ecole Parsons à Paris. Duties include but are not limited to:
Social Media
- Monitor social media sites and create and post communications
Online
- Maintain content of public website, making regular, timely, and accurate updates of the site.
- Conduct research and provide input into how to raise public awareness of the Ecole Parsons à Paris site.
- Assist in the development of Ecole Parsons à Paris Google Adwords and Facebook ad campaigns
- Provide support for the development and execution of all print marketing materials: school catalog, fashion lookbook, etc.
- Interface with designers, photographers, and printers
Visual Documentation
- In coordination with the Academic Department Heads organize the reproduction of student artwork.
- Schedule photographer and videographer for important on-campus events.
- Gather, organize and archive all visual documentation.
Assist with various other marketing activities such as direct mail campaigns and promotional packets both in print and electronic form.

- Develop new exchange program and study abroad collaborations, find new partners, follow agreement negotiations until signature, follow up with information, sending materials, answering inquiries by email, and receive student applications.
